Tessie’s second floor is a literal museum of her travels and a library of what she has studied and written about. I marvel at the depth of her enquiry and adore her taste in art. One day, when I grow up, I want to have contributed to a similar collection. (I will need to live to 200 years to catch her. She is so very prolific.)

OrfeusGruppen
Captivating in so many ways. (To my eyes, the guy in the back is Black.) Master Milles was pretty wild. I am impressed!

This is surprisingly good cider! The Mexican food struggled but it was worth it for the discovery of a new drink!

Swedes have a particular home esthetic. I think these next photos capture the current ethos pretty well. (The store is smack dab in the middle of Stockholm so…) My mom had quite similar tastes. What she felt was comfortable and soothing is in keeping with these displays.
Soft wool, bright/vibrant colors, well constructed, lots of natural wood… smooth edges. For the most part, this works for me. I find it a bit sterile but this energy does make me feel “at home”.

Classic Swedish blue and white. It is everywhere.

Of all the things I miss about Sweden, I squealed with glee when I found this row of nyponsoppa! That (and Blåbärssoppa) reminds me most of Sweden. You can get blueberry stuff all over. Rose hips soup? Only in Sweden.
This makes me so very happy!

Max finally arrives at the hotel at 1am! Now the adventures begin for realz =)
